Virtual Assistant, what’s that then? Since setting up my own business as a VA back in February 2017, I have found myself explaining what a VA is to a lot of family and friends and business people I meet at networking events.
So, what is a Virtual Assistant (VA)? We are in fact increasing in demand as small businesses, freelancers, self-employed persons begin to realise the benefits we can offer compared to a full-time employee.  Not only can we provide a cost-effective solution to the many time consuming tasks, which are completely necessary, that business owners must do on a day to day basis but we can lessen a lot of stress and free up time for owners to focus on running and growing their business.

Outsourcing tasks / projects to a Virtual Assistant which are in your mind tedious, time consuming, energy draining or boring is the biggest way to free up a business owners time.  With only 24 hours in a day, time is precious and time is money, time is what is needed to focus on the bigger picture which is developing and growing a successful business.

However, many business owners still think that hiring a Virtual Assistant can be expensive, hence the reason why many business owners try to do everything themselves! But, here’s the reality…

·        Virtual Assistants are only paid for the time they are needed and can either charge an hourly rate or offer packages (often with a discount) to suit the needs of a business.

·        Virtual Assistants work from their own premises, pay for their own taxes and benefits and provide their own office supplies and equipment.

·        Virtual Assistants are dedicated and committed to the quality of their work as their income is derived from being productive and delivering value to their clients.

Business owners who outsource to a Virtual Assistant suddenly find they have valuable time back to concentrate on the day to day running of their business and often wonder why they didn’t outsource sooner and not only that, they get some work / life balance back into their personal lives.

If any of these points sound familiar then maybe it’s time to consider if you could benefit from hiring a Virtual Assistant.

·        You work evenings and weekends trying to keep up with everyday admin/paperwork

·        You have no time to work on innovative ideas to expand and develop your business

·        Your clients are not paying you on time but you don’t have time to chase them

·        You have business travel to arrange but no time in your day to plan it

·        You have piles of business receipts that need organising and filing

·        You have an important event to organise but no time in your day to plan it

·        You missed a business opportunity because you didn’t meet the deadline

·        You know you need some help but can’t afford to employ someone full-time
